Gamechanger Challenge finalists announced
The 16 teams selected to compete in the inaugural Game Changer Challenge in Education Week have been announced. Superfast scooters to transport students between classes, time travel excursions to key moments in history, sustainable schools that are self-sufficient in power, water and food and real-time brain scans to track student learning and wellbeing. Egg-ceptional Easter Fun!
Thank you to everyone who came to help celebrate the annual Easter Fair at Athelstane last week. As per usual it was a super successful event and students and parents alike seemed to have an egg-cellent time!! Staff Development Day Term 1
As mentioned in correspondence sent home previously, this term Staff Development Day will occur on Friday 13th April in Week 11. This means that this day is a pupil free day Teachers will be onsite conducting professional learning that day but this is not a school day, and no supervision will be available. Please ensure that you have made alternate arrangements for your children on that day. As a result, there will be no staff development day in Term 2, so students will commence back at school on Monday 30th April for the term.... Read more

EdWeek 2018 - theme and dates announced
This year's Education Week will be held from Monday 6 August to Friday 10 August 2018 (Term 3, Week 3). The theme for Education Week is ‘Today's schools – creating tomorrow's world'. This theme communicates how NSW public schools are equipping young people with the skills and capabilities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing, globalised world. Healthy Harold Has Arrived!
Well look who has rolled into town! Today we were greeted with the sight of Healthy Harold and the Life Education Van set up and ready to host lessons at Athelstane over the next two weeks!
